Carey lived in a rented house with two roommates while she was in graduate school. She worked full time with a legal firm during her school years so she would not have extremely high student loans. She also planned to go to law school after she finished her graduate degree in psychology. The reason for two degrees is that ultimately she wanted to work in family law and be an advocate for victims of domestic violence and she decided that a degree in psychology would be benefit her. Meanwhile, her life was pretty stressful in those years and she had a lot weighing on her. She had some major responsibilities in her paralegal position and graduate school was also extremely demanding.
One day another student who was in Carey’s program was talking about a hot tub she had recently purchased and which made all the difference in her ability to relax and had a complete reduction in her stress level. While this seemed remarkable to Carey she started to ask questions about her classmate’s recent purchase. Carey realized that this would be the perfect solution for her too however it would be impossible at that point because she was in a rental house. Her classmate invited her over to experience the joy of the hot tub and Carey couldn’t believe how good she felt during and after her soak. She had to have a tub she thought and suddenly her classmate remembered that she had seen some portable hot tubs while she was shopping for hers.
Carey couldn’t believe her ears. The next day she went to the local distributor and found some great portable models. She also sound a wide variety of permanent hot tubs and was amazed at the amount of options she had. However, at that moment in her life she opted for what she thought would be a comfortable and durable portable model and could not wait to have it delivered. She was also excited about taking it with her when she went on to law school and knew it would be extremely beneficial to her at that time as well.
The Center of College of the Army Service Corps in Bangalore, recently converted an unused airport road into a forest of sandalwood trees. This was a project in the preservation and the care of the ecosystem, as more than five thousand trees were planted on the grounds during the month of June, 2009. This is also to be the home for a variety of other plants and flowers as well as a protected reserve for wildlife and various species of birds. The director of the program stated that the care of the trees will be of utmost importance, as the different species range in age from seedlings to mature trees of more than twenty five years in age. The addition of the bird populations with serve to balance the habitat, and as well, the birds are the natural pollinators of the trees. This reserve is locate out of the view of the public, however is accessible for tours and is located close to the downtown area and to many hotels. Bangalore, India established the center in the middle of the 20th Century as a station of trade and supply distribution, everything from clothing to food to weapons and ammunition.
Recently, the city of Bangalore has had issues of the controlling the vandalizing of and the theft of these trees, and the center is there to provide the protection and the safety of the trees which are comprised of such sacred and precious wood. The Army corps has no separate wing with botanists and scientists, and the care of the trees is the responsibility of the landscapers that care for the rest of the grounds on a day to day basis. There intent is to preserve the trees for the future, and it is a goal that is well worth reaching, and one that will take a lot of diligence for those involved. It seems that the sandalwood thieves of Bangalore have been very successful recently, in gaining entrance to and stealing trees that are kept in secure locations. In fact very recent, was an attempt made by four such men, as they entered the Chief Justice of the High courts residential compound and attempted to steal the trees. Well guarded locations have been hit by these bandits and the Army Service Corps of Bangalore will do all that is necessary to make certain that this does not happen to their newly planted crop.
For all the cities where the lifestyle is just right for boutique hotels, New York holds a special place above all the others. There is a kind of elegance about New York, one that wholly original, and one that is based on a history of cultural mixing. In New York, languages and ideas blend together in combinations that just don’t exist anywhere else. These combinations are evident in the street, in the art, and in the design of things. The boutique hotels here recognize the balance necessary to mix visual styles, and the result is a splendid comfort and gracefulness. Guests here will find themselves living in the heart of luxury, in the heart of the world.
New York has a heartbeat that is exactly like humanity, and it’s an energy that’s attracted artists and writers for many years. One of New York’s celebrated residents, although it wasn’t for very long, is the great Irish playwright Brendan Behan. Brendan Behan was born in 1923 in Dublin, and lived in that metropolitan center for most of his life. But some of his peak years were spent in the heart of New York City. He stayed at the Chelsea Hotel, like hundreds of other famous artists, and lived some rather hearty moments here.
Although his influence on the generations of writers that followed him is large, his output is actually quite modest. Having written only a few plays, he was wise enough to make them some of the more brilliant plays in the English language. With works such as “The Quare Fellow,” and “The Hostage,” he secured a place for himself on the shelves of great literary geniuses. It was the success of “The Hostage,” a work he translated himself from Irish, that brought him to New York for a long run. It was during this run that he started working on some of his last drinking binges that brought him to the end of his life. So, his time in New York was not necessarily very pretty, but he wrote about the city with an articulateness that marks a true marriage between a great writer and a great city. His influence is still here, in the bars and the theatres. The love of Brendan Behan for New York is a familiar one in the Irish diaspora, and he saw a promise here that many before and since have also seen and pursued, their demons and angels dragging behind them.
Madrid is one of the great cities in the world, and travelers looking for five-star Madrid hotels will find their searches rewarded. The sense of style and luxury here are unparalleled, and guests will see and feel the comfort here. There is also an enormously old-fashioned sense of hospitality here. The food is exquisite, and all of the these elements work toward making a traveler refreshed and ready for adventure.
Madrid is full of adventure. After London and Berlin, Madrid is Europe’s third-largest municipality, and it is the capital city of Spain. Not only is there history here, there is a large and lively local population. It attracts artists and intellectuals from all over the world. One of the locals, Arturo Perez-Reverte, was born in Cartagena, and now lives outside of Madrid. He worked as a war reporter for over two decades before he found the way to make a living writing his novels full-time. His books are hugely successful, having wide readerships in Spanish and English, and seeing their way to film and television adaptations. He is praised in the literary world for his fine sense of language, intricate characters, and complex and accessible plot. Billed in some places as an intellectual mystery writer, his books are well-received by readers of all types of fiction.
One of his most beloved creations is the Capitán Alatriste character. A sort of politically incorrect swashbuckler, this character is admittedly one of Perez-Reverte’s alter egos. A seventeenth century alter ego, that is. Set is the 17th century, these novels take on the familiar themes of honor, love, and vengeance, as Capitán Alatriste gets caught up in complicated situations, and, as a sword for hire, must find the way to make a living while still being true to the dubious moral code of a swordsman. The novels are set in or near Madrid, so readers from here have the double pleasure of reading historical details about their home while also getting a contemporary take on the present through the mask of an historically distant past. It’s a literary convention that is welcome to readers who like a sense of irony with their words. Travelers here can find the same connections in the novels, and will be rewarded for their close reading with direct experience of a sensual and exciting city.
It was my second day in Shanghai on a business trip when I noticed a few people, seemed around their 20’s, walking around in PJ’s . They walked around in the middle of the city, in their PJ’s as if this is perfectly common. Fortunately, I was to meet up with a Professor friend of mine who studies sociological and psychological aspects of the Shanghai people. We were to meet later on today in the lobby of one of the 5 Star Hotels Shanghai has and then head out for a business lunch.
At lunch, which was going well, I asked him about this phenomena for Shanghain’s to walk around in their PJ’s. He found my question timely, for he was actually doing a study of that very phenomena. From what he can ascertain, back in history, Shanghai people did not wear any vestiges of long-johns, nor did the men were a night-shirt and the women didn’t wear a shift. He was stumped as to this new fashion and why it is becoming more popular. He mentioned also that he has a friend who’s a psychologist with a well-known reputation for interpreting dreams and other night-time events dealing with sleep and he too was stumped, but that now he’s spending sleepless nights to study the motivation behind the phenomena.
When we finished lunch and bid farewell to my business associate, I went to a local kiosk and looked through the latest fashion magazines. Apparently, the newest and latest PJ fashion comes complete with a cell phone pocket. The fashion magazines are describing this latest PJ wearing trend as an ‘in your face’ attitude being developed with the younger generation. They say the younger people are going for comfort and convenience and that they’ll wear PJ’s to accomplish both desires. Ah, that explains everything for me. My parents grew up in the sixties. Need I say more?
When it comes to five-star hotels, Mauritius has plenty to offer. With sumptuous amenities to make any traveler feel like home, these fine lodgings are luxurious and still maintain a distinctive island charm. Mauritius is one of the most heavenly places on earth, after all, with ocean and beaches and a warm and lively atmosphere. Your days and nights could be spent hiding away in pure decadence, and your stay here will certainly rejuvenate your spirit and body. But if you decide to venture out, there is a lot to see here.
The night life in Mauritius is famous and truly fabulous. Fantastic discos, restaurants, and clubs offer exciting adventures in another world. Food and fun are to be had everywhere. Mauritius is also one of the most truly cosmopolitan places on earth. With a long and complicated history of indigenous, African, and French cultures here, the Creole that is most widely used reflects these histories. There are lots of other cultures, too, like on any island with a history of contact with the world at large. The Jewish cemetery here in Mauritius, however, often strikes visitors by surprise. There is a small Jewish community here, and their origins came from the time of the Holocaust. A boat that was leaving Europe with Jews who were fleeing from Gdansk, Czechoslovakia, and Vienna, was sailing down the African coast toward Palestine, and capsized. The tragedy left some 200 dead, and the others were put on other ships. The British would not allow them into Palestine, so a small community was sent here, where they were first put into a prison, then later allowed some freedom. Some 145 died before they were released in 1945.
Some of these families were brought to South Africa, where communities there took them in. This history is documented in a book, “The Mauritian Shekel,” and is a fascinating read for those looking for Jewish history in Mauritius. More recently, Mauritius commemorated its Jewish community with the opening of a community center, the Amicale Maurice Israel Center in Curepipe, in 2005. It is built with a small synagogue, the first on the island, and a meeting hall.

Travelers looking for five-star hotels in New Dehli will no doubt find the same things here that characterize this vibrant and exciting city. A splendid mix of old-world hospitality with new world technology and style, the hotels offer a host of details that are enticing and exquisitely tasteful. The city is among the longest continually-inhabited places on earth, and the hotels reflect the same sense of history and grace. The place you lay your head should be rejuvenating and refreshing, and these hotels will give you exactly what you are looking for.
While you are in the city, there are a myriad of possibilities for interesting and fascinating adventures. A barrage of cultures and languages, the human drama plays itself out here on the streets every day, and invents complicated and wonderful rhythms at night. There is a tremendous local culture here, but the global culture is also making a glorious stomp. World travelers looking for evidence of global hiphop rhythms in Delhi will find some amazing new talents to add to the international menu. In Delhi, one of the most exciting young talents is DJ MoCity. Mohammed Abood was born in Baghdad, but raised here, and his unique stylings reflect the place, along with his national roots.
He works with the intention of bringing diverse audiences together, entertaining the locals along with the expatriate communities, and his rhythms are samplings of U.S. hiphop culture with generous mixtures of Indian and Arab musical styles. He plays widely in New Delhi, promoting variations of the hiphop mainstay, the block party. Their shows are an explosion of sound and fashion, street smart and with an urban sophistication, and are excellent ways to discover some of the more local variations of global music culture. With one eye on developing his skills as a performer, and the other on developing his skills as a producer, DJ MoCity is creating a phenomena out of his complex image.
There are many five-star hotels in Goa to choose from. Each one is the height of luxury and comfort, and designed to make the guests feel well taken care of. With a sumptuous combination of old-world hospitality, and new-world ameneties, there is something here for every taste. This is the most viable state in India economically, and their number one business is tourism, so you can be sure we know how to do it right here. Whether your stay is for business or for pleasure, or a little of both, we want to make sure your down time is spent resting and revitalizing.
Goa has a long history of travelers. As a coastal place, there is more traffic than usual, and this leads to a rather multi-cultural society, based on careful respect for cultures and traditions. There are a number of religions and languages locally, and some familiarity will help make the trip more interesting, and even enlightening. One local custom though, which is a bit baffling perhaps, relates to the tobacco laws in Goa. Referred to as the Goa Prohibition on Smoking and Spitting Bill, this thorough piece of legislation was passed in 1999. At the time it was extremely forward thinking, and very precise about making Goa unfriendly to tobacco all around. It prohibited and fined the use of tobacco for smoking, chewing, or sniffing. Although this seemed to go against a tradition that brought the Portuguese here in earlier centuries, to colonize the area for its rich tobacco plants, groups such as NOTE (National Organization for Tobacco Eradication) helped to sway public opinion.
Specifically intended to curb the rise of smoking in young people, the comprehensive ban was one of the most severe in the world. It brought a lot of attention to Goa, both for its progressive stance on tobacco, as well as the legislative powers of its citizen action groups. However, a decade later, there are some problems with the bill, and one in particular: no one seems to be enforcing it. In any case, it seem that tobacco laws are simply not being implemented. Restaurants who don’t comply are complaining that their clientele don’t like the laws, and in many public areas, there’s simply no sense that the law ever existed. So although progress can be made on paper, in practice that’s another issue altogether.
In 1973, one of the most recognizable structures in the world, created by Jorn Utzon, was opened in a ceremony that was presided over by Queen Elizabeth II. The Sydney Opera House has become one of the iconic structures of the world, much as is the Empire State Building in New York City, USA and the Eiffel Tower in France. During the almost forty years of the history of the building, it has become the symbol of the entire country of Australia, much as the Colosseum represents Rome, and as the Pyramids are representative of Egypt. Many travel to the city, and dine in one of the many restaurants Sydney offers, just to catch a glimpse of the building or take photographs. Not to mention those that visit in order to have the experience of one of the more than three thousands events that are scheduled there each and every year with close to two million people attending throughout the year. Tours are also available for those not taking in a show.
Utzon designed the building with the idea of evoking the look of a ship with all its sails up and blowing. This is a spectacular site, as the Opera House is located at the end of Bennelong Point, out in the center of the harbor, and does very much resemble a ship at sea. When viewed from a plane or from a ferry boat, in the middle of the blue water, the white, stark sails are breathtaking. Utzon won the design competition that was set up at the end of the 1950’s by the Government of New South Wales. However, at that time his design was something that engineers at that time, where just incapable of completing. It was not until 1961, when Utzon had spent time reworking the original design, that the challenge of building the sails was solved. Utzon was not involved in the project at the time of its completion as the Government began to withhold payments and he resigned. Other designers complete the project, more than thirty years after Jorn Utzon originally won the competition. Just one of the many reasons to visit the city, the Sydney Opera House continues to be one of the most incredible architectural achievements in the world.
The University of Hyderabad is a major educational facility in India. It is a premier institute of postgraduate studies and offers many different degrees and programs. It was established in 1974 by an Act of Parliament and is entirely funded by the University Grants Commission. This major research university attracts a diverse range of students with various focuses and career intentions. The campus is beautiful and attracts tourists to visit it during their stay at one of the five star hotels in Hyderabad.
Some of the departments and schools of study offered by the university include Mathematics and Computer Sciences, Fine Arts and Communication, Life Sciences, Chemistry and Physics, among others. There is also in development a School of Medical Sciences. This school was intended to commence with the rest of the university, though its actual start was delayed. It was held back to ensure that it would offer the state of the art theories, equipment and practices in the medical field. It will ultimately be proud to undertake research in the frontiers of international medical practice. In addition, it will form an interaction with the Schools of Chemistry, Physics and the Life Sciences.
The Sarojini Naidu School of Performing Arts, Fine Arts and Communication first began functioning in the terms of 1988 and 1989. There are four departments in the school that offer degrees in dance, performing arts, fine arts and communication. It eventually plans to enlarge the school to include a department of music. There is an interdisciplinary approach applied to most of the programs of study to encourage an awareness and diverse orientation to one’s own field. Many of these art forms interact with each other in any given production, and a thorough education is essential to future professionals. The broad reaching program also has a strong focus on the evolution and cultural relevance of the performance arts.
