Sino-Colonial architecture is a common aspect of many of the buildings in Old Town Phuket as well as throughout the island. Many historic mansions built in this design line some of the streets and attract walking and driving tours through the neighborhood. One of the standard icons of Phuket is the Sino-Portuguese shop house. The building, which was build during the reign of King Rama II, radiates charm and pleasant feelings at first sight.
